Exit Road of Taman Pulai Perdana
Everyday, lots of vehicles use the internal road of Taman Pulai Perdana and take the exit road of Taman Pulai Perdana to Pontian, to skip the main road from Taman Sri Pulai to Kangkar Pulai, Pulai Indah, Pulai Hijauan or even Pontian. Currently, the exit road is under construction for expansion.
Today, the congestion is very bad that I have to queue even before I reach the primary school of Taman Pulai Perdana.
The expansion is important to ensure three columns of vehicles can use the exit road at the same time. This also ensure those who are going to Pontian direction do not need to stop at the junction.
I am hoping the exit road can be completed after my returned from Yogyakarta. I have a conference to attend from 19 to 22 Nov. 2019. After the good news of the opening of the Pulai Jaya exit highway on 11 Nov. 2019, this should be another good news for the surrounding neighborhood!

1st Eggplant at Home
The soil at my home is not fertile. In addition when it is rainning, the water is hard to be absorbed by the soil. The land will become small ponds. Therefore, I prefer to plant my vegetables in vases, polybags and bottles. Some of them I planted in 0.25L, 1.5L or 3L bottles. The best is to use 5L bottle of palm oil, cooking oil.
Several days ago, my wife finally pluck an eggplant from the tree and cook it. The size is not bad whcih is about 11cm.
The weight is about 111gm. It is still too young actually. But the color of the eggplant made my wife inpatient to cook it.
There are several more eggplant trees bearing fruits. I have no worry about chemical pesticide or fertilizer since all my plants are organically planted and maintained.
Although you can plant trees and vegetables in bottles, you still should buy your dream home. Click here to learn to buy your dream home.

A Sign of a Troubling Time for certain businesses
Yesterday, I brought my family for monthly kitchen resupply. As usual, we went to Jusco Taman Universiti. At first, I was excited to finally find Faiza Basmati rice. We use this rice for our daily meals. The price is affordable to my family. But, it is difficult to find the rice in a small retail shop (even it is difficult to find the rice in a two lot retail shops)
These are where I usually bought other type of frozen foods such as yong tau foo ingredients, etc. The basic business formula is to ensure there are many places to stock your supply. It is ridiculous to let the freezers left empty even for maintenance. And this is not the first time I saw this. It has been normal seeing empty freezers in Jusco Taman University for the last six months.
Then, I also found the new rice from Faiza (not really that new). Moghul Basmathi rice. The first time we tasted the rice was about two weeks ago. I attended my friend's daughter wedding and received a small portion of Moghul Basmathi rice as a token back home. The price?
Wow! It is a lot more expensive than the normal Faiza Kashmir Basmathi which can be bought at RM30 to RM32 for 5kg. Since I already bought 5kg of Faiza Kashmir Basmathi a few days ago, I should postpone buying a new pack of rice. May be I should try using Faiza Moghul Basmathi rice in the future.
However, I was curious with Jusco Taman Universiti. Is the business getting bad for them? There were some changes to the way the Jusco hypermarket operates since it was taken over by a local company from AEON Japan. It is harder to get regular brands. Surprisingly, I found rows of freezers being used to stock a lot of frozen foods are under maintenance.
I don't buy it they are under maintenance at the same time! These are normally where I bought sausage, burger meat, pau, raw french fries etc. Now, more than 50% are empty due to under maintenance.
But at least they are still surviving compared to Giant at U-Mall which has been closed months ago! I believe, Jusco Taman Universiti is going to close down. The new owner of Jusco chain has made big blunder by changing many proven regulation by the previous owner. My family have to look for a new place to do monthly resupply.

Pineapple at Home Progress
From my previous entry about planting a pineapple at home, the fruit has grown bigger and beautifully. These are the pictures taken after about a month later.
The red color fruit is beautiful.
I should put more nutrient in the all the pineapples bottles and ground.

Pineapple trees don't need daily attention to tend to. I just left them as they are growing. So, it is normal to have weeds growing around them. It is good if you can trim or eliminate the weeds once a week.

Planting Superfood Asparagus
I acquired asparagus tree in Dec. 2017. I had no experience planting asparagus tree and never ate them before. I thought it is bitter. Initially, I planted the trees in the ground of my home compound.
After six months being planted, the trees were dying as below:
After seven months being planted, the asparagus trees were getting critical. One by one the trees died. The soil is not suitable since there were water whenever it was raining. And it took a long time for the soil to drain the water.
Upon realizing there was one one tree left, I moved the asparagus tree into a vase on 4 August 2018. I put some essential nutrient to ensure the tree can properly grew. As the pictures shown, the asparagus tree was saved from destruction and grew new trees.
There was barely a tree still survived.
A month after I planted in a vase, the tree was getting healthier.
After two months, it was a relief to see new trees were growing.
After three months, the leaves were getting denser. The new shoot is getting thicker.
After six months being planted in a vase, the trees were healthier and sufficient to be split.
The roots had covered all the ground in the vase although there were still room to grow.
I felt it was time to split the trees into different containers. I managed to split them into three separate containers. The original vase was being reused. And one of them was planted in a 5L palm oil bottle!
The other two asparagus trees.
The process to split them was delicate. If I didn't careful, the tree being cut will die. I will wait for at least another six months before I split them again.
My family always harvest the asparagus rebung and put into a cooking. Sometimes, I ate the root? rebung? raw. When the first time I taste the rebung in raw condition, I was surprised, tt taste sweet!
